Review: Ever Bilena Matte Eyeshadow Duos in London

Happy post Valentine's day everyone! :)

I'm on a roll! This is my 8th blog for February, and we're only halfway into this month. Thank you so much for everyone who has been supporting me. I will do my best to give you more valuable reviews, hauls, tutorials, etc.

So today I wanted to share with you guys this latest product that I found when I went to the department store last Wednesday. It is the Ever Bilena Matte Eyeshadow Duos.

When I started doing makeup, all of the eyeshadow palettes that I have are either hand me downs or gifts. My friend gave me 2 palettes from Benefit and he also recently gave me the Stila's Dream In Full Color Palette which has 29 eyeshadows so I thought to myself, I do not need eyeshadow palettes anymore since I already have a lot to play around with. But this product changed my mind that I wasn't able to control my impulsive buying.

Now let's talk about this amazing product, shall we?

This duo comes in this black box, a classic Ever Bilena packaging. At the back, you can see the color of the eyeshadows inside as well as the ingredients. And this costs 125.00.

I actually love the packaging of this product. Prior to taking the photos above, I dropped this and it was about from my chest, and take note that I'm 5'7" tall. My heart actually stopped beating because obviously I haven't used this yet and I was so impressed that when I checked it, the powders are still intact! I am not advising you to drop this as well, maybe I got lucky, but from the feel of the case, though it is plastic, it is very sturdy and nice.

I got the shade London, which consists of this rich dark brown and this taupe-y grey color. It is so perfect for an everyday, natural makeup look.

Here are some swatches:

This duo is actually available in 5 different shades and the Ever Bilena Matte Eyeshadows are also available in a trio and a quad, but the main factor why I chose the duo is because of its texture.

These powders are the creamiest and smoothest powder eyeshadows that I have ever encountered! It is even better than my Stila eyeshadows. And I think out of all the variants of the Ever Bilena Matte Eyeshadows, this has the best formulation.

Let's talk about pigmentation. Yes, they are very pigmented, but I think it will look more pretty under an eye primer or a white cream shadow. Staying power wise, the dark brown stays longer than the taupe grey color. These also have very minimal fall outs

The duo also comes with a sponge applicator, which picks up a decent amount of product and is very useful in patting the eyeshadow on the lids.

What I like about this product:
  • Locally available and very affordable
  • Very smooth and creamy in texture, very easy to apply
  • Very pigmented
  • Long staying power (at least for the dark brown shadow)
  • Minimal fall outs
  • This duo is just perfect for everyday use
  • Packaging is sturdy

What I didn't like about this product:
  • Wish it is available in more shades

Overall, I really really really love this duo, especially the dark brown shadow. You can use it as a brow powder, contouring the nose, etc. I am so excited to use this and come up with a very neutral look.

I highly recommend this, I actually wanted to purchase all the duo shades. I am still contemplating about the trios and the quads, because as I have said, they are not as creamy as the duo. Go check out this product once you go to the mall or the department store, I think some convenience stores have an Ever Bilena stand as well.

Thank you so much for reading and I hope this review has been helpful to you guys. I will see you on my next post, and goodluck!
