My Monthly Favorites: March 2013

Hello Pinay Beauties! It's April already, and I am sorry if I have been missing for the past week. Anyway, I would like to start a new series on this blog which is "My Monthly Favorites". I am sure you have heard of this from many beauty bloggers out there, but I believe the true concept behind this is for me to show you what products I used and abused for the past month that I really love and recommend.

So here are the items that I religiously used for the past month:

1. Pond's Perfect Care Lemon Cold Cream

This is heaven's sent for me! I remember my mom used to use this before, but it went missing/out of stock for a long time, so when I saw one again I have to grab it. This works like a dream in removing my makeup and cleaning my face. Taking off eye makeup is such a breeze as this not sting my eye and it really removes even the most waterproof product that I have. This is available in department stores and supermarkets for less than ₱200.

2. EOS Lip Balm in Honeysuckle Honeydew

My partner is looking for a lipbalm that is super convenient to use, no twisting or dipping the fingers to apply. So I recommended her this cute little eggs called EOS lipbalm, and I also wanted to try it so I purchased one for myself as well. I got this from Stuff In Style for ₱250. This makes my lip so soft and smooth, and I have never used a lipbalm this much before. I love it and I will definitely repurchase should I ran out of it.

3. Fashion 21 Blush Stick in #2

If you have read my review about this product, you will know how much I love it! This is my go-to blush this month, as it is super easy to use and the color is just perfect this summer. I am planning to purchase another shade of this, or I'll try the Nichido Multiple Stick.

4. Krave's Mist Spritz Makeup Setting Face Mist

This is my secret weapon for making my makeup last longer. I am not sure though if I will repurchase, because the new Misty Pritz costs ₱450 and I am not sure if the new formulation will work for me. I think it's time to try something new. Do you have any suggestions? I am thinking ELF Setting Spray, or NYX Matte Setting Spray. Let me know if you have tried these products and your thoughts about it.

5. Daiso Top Coat/Clear Mascara

I got this mascara at Saizen for only ₱88. I don't think it works well as a mascara, so I am currently using this instead to set my brows and it is just wonderful! Really sets the brows in place and makes it also last the whole day.

6. Ever Bilena Matte Eyeshadow Duos in London

Side by side with my Daiso Clear Mascara, the darker shade is the one that I use for my brows. The color is perfect for me, and it really looks natural.

7. Chic Nail Polish in Noni Green

This is the nail polish that I sported for the whole month of March, up until this April. :) I love the color so much! Check out this nail tutorial where I used this polish.

8. Maybelline One by One Volum' Express Washable Mascara in Satin Black

This is love at first use! I am a bit apprehensive about this mascara since it is washable and I sweat a lot in my eye area, but even though this is washable, it doesn't smudge! And removing it is such a breeze! What I love about this mascara, and maybe what makes it work winders is it soft, full mascara wand. It really gets into your lashes without clumping and the product is dispensed evenly on the lashes.

I got this from Bon Marche for only ₱250, and I will definitely repurchase! :)

9. Covergirl Lip Perfection Lipstick in Rapture

This is my go-to lipstick for the month of March. I always wanted to sport an orange or an orange-y lipstick, and this shade is amazing! I also got this from Bon Marche for only ₱250. And I am not a fan of frosted/shimmery lipstick, but this is perfect for summer and is very wearbale! Here is a swatch:

And these are my favorites for March! I love all of these products and will definitely keep using them. Let me know if you wanted to see a review of any of the products mentioned above, and show some love by posting a comment below or by liking me on Facebook. :)

Tomorrow I will be meeting with a fellow beauty blogger as we cook up something special for our readers. New posts will be coming this weekend so watch out. Thank you so much for your continuous support and stay pretty Pinay Beauties! Goodluck!
