Review: Fashion 21 Two Way Cake with Tea Tree Oil

Hey guys! I hope you are doing okay despite this summer heat! Me, I am dying right now because of over-sweating (is there such a thing?). I wanted to share with you this product that I am currently using and currently loving: the Fashion 21 Two Way Cake with Tea Tree Oil.

I bought this at SM Department Store for only ₱195 and I think the refill costs around ₱145. Fashion 21 and Fanny Serrano (their sister company) are known for delivering good quality powder foundations so I decided to give it a try.

Packaging wise, I love this compact. Ofcourse I love the color, and it is made of plastic but it is sturdy. I dropped it (because I am clumsy I tend to drop things a lot) and the powder is still intact!

I also love that the sponge is separated from the powder pan, but unlike other compacts, the sponge is placed above, not under the pan. I think it's so cool.

Speaking of the sponge, it is very easy to use and very easy to clean as well. Unlike other sponges, when you wash this sponge there will be no yellow color tinges that's left on it.

The shade that I got is #4 Natural, which I think is their darkest shade (please note that I am already fair, so I am not sure if you can find one if you are morena).

Now, since this is a two way cake, it means you can use it either wet or dry. Instructions are included at the box as well.

And here's how it looks like on my face:

Left: No MakeupMiddle: Applied with a dry sponge
Right: Applied with a wet sponge

As you can see, it does not really provide a full coverage, it is more like a medium one, or maybe depending on how many layers you would put. Using the wet sponge provides more coverage than using it dry, but I use this to set my Revlon Colorstay Whipped foundation and it works great!

What I like about this product:
  • Affordable and locally available.
  • Keeps oil at bay for 3 to 4 hours.
  • Using a sponge, minimize appearance of pores.
  • Very minimal caking.
  • No scent.
  • Doesn't break me out (possibly because of the tea tree oil)
What I didn't like about this product:
  • Limited shades
Will I repurchase? YES!

I will be busy for the next few days but don't fret because on Saturday I am going to announce my first ever giveaway! So please stay tuned for the details and please support!

Stay beautiful, go out and have fun! Goodluck!

Unfortunately Sis I don't know any online sellers, but you can easily get this at your local department store. There are also lots of variants, such as one with Milk Moisturizers, Papaya Extract (I think), etc. This is a really good foundation! :)

Good to know. I wasn't really sure what to get when I was in front of all the foundations, so I got this one with Tea Tree Oil for my blemished. I'll try the one with Milk Moisturizers too! :D

I <3 this. I have the Milk Moisturizer variant because it's seriously really yellow, and I've never found a local powder that's as yellow as that. My skin is really yellow. I'm so glad I found this.
