Review: Careline Oil Control Blush-On

Hello everyone! It's Monday today which means it's start of a new week for work, and I am going to be busy for the next few weeks but I will try my best to upload posts for you. Anyways, today I wanted to share with you my thoughts about the Careline Oil Control Blush-On.

Finally! I have been eyeing these babies for the longest time, even before I started out this blog. The Careline Blushes are so cheap for ₱80 a pop and they are very pigmented as well. It comes with a white sponge that is super soft and perfect for travelling, it does transfer the color well on the cheeks but if you wanted a more even and natural application, go for a fluffy blush brush.

The blushes are enriched with Vitamin E and claims to control oil on the area where it is applied. I got 2 shades which are Fresh Tomato and Starlight Shine.

I think this blush is aptly named. It is this red-orange vibrant color. It is super pigmented as well that my tip is to apply it little by little. As for texture, not so creamy nor too chalky. I didn't experience any powder fall outs though.

I purchased this because I wanted to know if there is an affordable contour/bronzing powder. When I swatched this before purchasing, it appeared matte so I bought it but when I got home to take some photos of swatches, I was surprised because it has shimmers. Now that's why it's called Starlight Shine (go figure). This is also pigmented, and a little goes a long way. This can still be used as a contour powder though, as the shimmers eventually fades.

Here are the swatches:

Left: Starlight Shine, Right: Fresh Tomato

What I like about this product:
  • Very cheap and affordable.
  • 7 shades to choose from.
  • Highly pigmented.
  • Packaging is sturdy, compact and travel friendly.
  • The clear cover makes it easier to see the color inside.
  • Does not cause breakouts.
  • Long lasting.
  • Controls oil for 6 hours.
  • Easy to blend.
  • No scent at all.
What I didn't like about this blush:
  • Nothing!

If you are looking for an affordable, good quality powder blush then I suggest that you pick one of these blushes. For only ₱80, you can achieve that pretty flushed look.
