Review: Fanny Serrano Lash Extravagance Extra Length X Volume Mascara

Hello everyone! I am back with another review and as promised this is going to be about the Fanny Serrano Lash Extravagance Mascara.

I am pretty sure that it is not a new mascara from Fanny Serrano, but then again I didn't really bother to look at all. I really feel like its the counterpart of the Fashion 21 Double Up Mascara which is good but didn't work for me.

Product Description and Directions:
Let's talk about packaging. I think it is very similar to the Fashion 21 counterpart, aside from the color of the tube of course which really caught my eye. I love the stunning metallic blue color.
Now let us take a look at the wand, which is actually quite unique. It looks like a lash comb since it only has bristles on the side and it is flat. I also noticed that it is a bit curved to fit the eyes easily.
Moving on to the formula of this mascara, I really feel like it is the same as Fashion 21 which is a wet formulation but this is a tad thicker. It also sets more quickly than Fashion 21, although it still needs time to set or else you will definitely have a mess. Good thing though is that it is really easy to remove.

Let's see how it works on my lashes, note that I didn't curl my lashes prior so I can see if it can lift up my lashes and add length (for those who do not use lash curlers):No MascaraOne CoatTwo Coats

My lashes looked more defined and lengthy than when I had no mascara on. In case you can't see the difference:
I actually already had a feeling that this mascara will be more about the lengthening and not the volume part. Yes, it makes my lashes look fatter but look at that length! I also like how it separated my lashes really well. My advise is that you only put 2 coats on though, a third coat is unnecessary because there will be not much of a difference and it would only make your lashes clump into each other, we don't want spidery lashes don't we?

I tested out this mascara too with my lashes curled, and I was surprised that it didn't weigh down th curl, which is a big factor for me. It  is also not flaky although this is not as waterproof as I wanted to be, especially that I have sweaty undereyes. The mascara smudges a little. But as I have said, the smudges or mistakes are super easy to remove, you just need a baby wipe.

What I like about this product:
- Easily available and affordable (I can't remember the exact price and I cannot find my receipt, but I think this costs ₱350).
- Very good packaging.
- It doesn't flake.
- It doesn't clump the lashes (unless you apply a third coat).
- Lengthens and separates the lashes really well.
- Doesn't weigh down the curl of the lashes.
- Semi-waterproof (which is actually good since it does not claim to be waterproof. Do not believe the SA's, please.)
- Mess is easy to remove.

What I didn't like about this product:
- Takes time to dry (might get messy if you blink instantly after application).
- The wand takes some time to get to used to.

I think this is so much better than the Fashion 21 Double Up Mascara, well at least for me since I know people who tags the Fashion 21 Mascara as their HG local mascara. Yes, it is a bit pricey but it works really really well. If you are all bout lengthening mascara, then this is a must have.

Thank you so much guys for reading and I hope this post has been helpful to you. Let me know if you have any product review requests and do not forget to show some love and leave a comment below. I will talk to you very soon, good luck!

Hahaha! True, pero in all honesty I would rather spend that 350 in a Maybelline mascara. :D

Oh no. I hate wet mascara. Meron akong mini-bags and my eyelids are also puffy.

I hate wet mascara too, kasi I have thin and sparse lashes that are straight. So need ko ng dry formula so that it would not weigh down the curl ng lashes.
