Review: Milk Essence Whitening Beauty Series Lotion

Hello loves! How are guys doing? As you all know, I went to the BDJ Box Social last Sunday (Picture heavy post coming soon! *wink*) and I wasn't able to schedule a post to go out so.. sorry! Today, I wanted to share to you guys my review on this "instant" whitening lotion that I got from Pretty Angel Shoppe.

And when I say instant, I mean instant. This is also known as the "Magic Milk Lotion" since it can whiten your skin as soon as you apply it.
Packaging wise, I love how simple and straight up the box is. And, considering it is made in China, the English translation is decent! :)
This contains 100 ml of product, which will definitely last you a long time.
It has a screw top and a regular opening at the center. Personally I prefer pumps because I am such a messy user and it makes me kind of OC to see that the product is pooling at the cap.
As you can see, it is an opaque white lotion. The smell is a bit strong but fades in a while. It is not bad, but it reminds me of the old local whitening lotions my mom used to apply on her skin (Love, etc.). The consistency is also weird to me, it looks and feels like correction fluid/liquid paper.

I find it hard to blend this to my skin as it dries quickly and is a bit sticky. You really have to work the product into the skin to make it look nice and even, unless you wants streaks and patches of white all over.

Now this is supposed to be used in the face and neck area, but because of my breakouts, I only tested it on my arms:
Now you might not see a huge difference since I am already fair, so I asked my Tita who is darker than me for help. Here's her before and after:
No need for captions, you can definitely see which arm has the Milk lotion. I was pretty impressed that it did lighten her skin, however, it looks a bit unnatural. I think for medium skin tones or morenas this will work well (with a lot of effort to blend though) but for dark skinned people, it might not look as good.

I wore it all day on both my arms, and I found that it settles on my pores, not sure why though. It feels a little tacky but not too heavy unlike other whitening lotions. And, while the effect is instant, it is also temporary. It washes off when you take a bath. It claims to take effect when used regularly, and since I don't need it I gave half of it to my partner's mom so she can use it. I will give you an update if it lightens her skin eventually.

What I like about this product:
- Instantly whitens.
- A little goes a long way, absorbed by the skin quickly.
- Long lasting, it stayed on my skin for 5 hours.
- Moisturizing.
- Can be used for the face and body (I may not have used it on my face, but I found reviews online that it is safe even for sensitive skin).
- Very affordable at ₱160 only, price of Pretty Angel Shoppe.

What I don't like about this product:
- Not easily available, can be found through online shops only.
- Dries quickly making blending a bit hard.
- Temporary effect, will wash off after a long day or when you take a bath.
- It feels a bit tacky even after wearing it for a couple of hours.
- Emphasizes pores (not sure if this is just me).
- Does not have a list of ingredients.

Overall, if you want to achieve a radiant, Korean-like skin, this is a good product. Just take note that if you are dark skinned, this will look unnatural. To be honest, I don't feel the need to use this, but I am keeping it for when I am doing product shoots just because my neck is darker than my face, and this can be handy to even them out.

Have you guys tried this Magic Milk Lotion? What are your thoughts about it? Let me know on the comments below!

And as usual, thank you so much for reading this post! I hope you enjoy, and I'll see you on the next one! Goodluck!

Parang yung instant fair ng Vaseline.

I think this is better for medium and light-medium skin tones. Parang makeup for the body. It evened out the color of your forearm.

On morenas, this might look ashy.
