April Exclusive "Pixy" BDJ Box Unboxing + First Impression

Hello loves! I know that you have seen lots of posts and raves about this month's BDJ Box, so might as well join the bandwagon right? :) I am really, really impressed with this box and I wanted to share with you my unboxing, first impressions and some swatches of the products I got.

If you don't know the brand Pixy, well neither am I. I think it is the newest drugstore makeup brand that will hit the Philippines from the same company who made Bifesta, Lucido-L, etc. available in our country. Pixy is actually an Indonesian brand that uses Japanese technology and ingredients. Well Japan creates awesome makeup products, so this is pretty exciting for me. And yes, they are affordable too.

If you are subscribed to BDJ's April Box, then you are one lucky gal, because this month's box contains 9 full size items!
Isn't this exciting? I actually really love exclusive boxes, and also getting to try new products. It is the main reason why I subscribe to beauty boxes and sampling sites.

Well, let's see the makeup products that I got, yes?

ULTIMATE MAKEUP CAKE IN PEACH BEIGE
12.5 g - ₱445.00
This is basically a finely milled, light diffusing two way cake that claims to provide flawless, even coverage and lasting power of up to 8 hours. To be honest, I haven't tried any of the powders on this box yet but when I swatched it, this powder really feels soft, smooth and creamy to touch. I am more than excited to try this one out, although on the initial swatch it looks lighter than my skintone.

PERFECT MATTE TWO WAY CAKE REFILL IN TRUE BEIGE (12 g - ₱145.00)
& PERFECT FIT TWO WAY CAKE IN GOLDEN BEIGE (12.2 g - ₱275.00)
Yup, more two way cakes! The Perfect Fit claims to prevent dry skin and protect skin from sun damage, while the Perfect Matte claims to be clinically tested to not trigger blackheads (will not clog pores) and is more suitable for oily skin. My closest shade is actually the Perfect Fit, but since I have oily skin I might not use it and swap the Perfect Matte inside the compact.

Swatches:
COLORS OF DELIGHT BLUSH-ON IN PASSION ROSES
3.5 g -  ₱285.00
This looks like a dark rosy pink shade of blush, but when swatched it is barely noticeable and I noticed that it has sheen to it, making it perfect for providing a natural flush and glow to the cheeks:
I don't think the brush included will be useful since it is too small for blush application, I would rather use my fingers. I really like blushes like this, I would rather have a blush that applies sheer since you can build it up and not worry that you might over-blush.

COLORS OF DELIGHT WATERPROOF MASCARA IN BLACK (7 ml - ₱260.00)
& COLORS OF DELIGHT EYELINER PENCIL IN BROWN (1.14 g - ₱265.00)
I haven't tried the mascara yet, although I really like how sexy the packaging and the wand is. It claims to lengthen the lashes and that it is smudge-proof, so I am excited to try it out on this crazy hot summer weather. The eyeliner on the other hand, works like a dream! It is so creamy, opaque and pigmented. It makes application so much easier and once it sets, it stays. You can also smudge it out for a smokey effect, or to use as an eyeshadow.
COLORS OF DELIGHT LIPSTICKS (3.8 g)
Satin - ₱245.00, Semi-Matte - ₱265.00 & Lasting Matte - ₱325.00
And of course the most exciting products for any lipstick addict like me! :) I love that they included different shades and finishes of lipstick: Satin, Semi-Matte and Lasting Matte. The gradation of the color of the boxes from light pink to hot pink represents the intensity of the color pay-off, so that was pretty cool too. Here are the shades that I got:
And here are the swatches:
Look at these gorgeous colors! I mean, just wow! I didn't expect the Satin lipstick to be pigmented, and although the Semi-Matte feels a bit drier in texture than the Matte one, I love that salmon shade! I think it is the perfect lipstick color for this summer.

Overall, yes, I love this box! I love it better than their January-February Box, even the Benefit Exclusive Box. This just proves that BDJ Box is still the best beauty subscription box in the country! If you haven't subscribed to them yet, I highly encourage you to do so!

Thank you so much for reading guys, and let me know if you want to see a more in-depth review of any of the products above. Oh, and I think I am going to join their 7-Day Challenge, so make sure to follow me on Instagram to see how these babies perform. I will see you in my next post, goodluck!

I think I'm golden beige. Pero siguro I won't check them out since I'm satisfied with fashion 21 powder.
