My teeth is something that I am super conscious about, in fact it is one of my insecurities. See, my teeth is not naturally white. My teeth is has a rough texture so stains sticks down to it, plus my dentin is not bright, bright white. Have you ever seen me smile showing my teeth? Nope. I also love drinking coffee, milk tea, plus I smoke, so it only adds stain on my teeth.
So I was super happy that Smile Brilliant contacted me to try this system. I have seen this in a lot of Youtube gurus so I am super curious. I do not know any local brand carrying this, luckily Smile Brilliant ships internationally.
Here's what's inside the package:
Let's break it down one by one.
First off, the Teeth Whitening Gel Pen that contains 22% Carbamide Peroxide, which is a bleach that is safe to use at home and can be left on your teeth overnight.
Of course, you will need to protect your gums from the bleach, you want to contain this on your teeth only. So there is also a Lip & Cheek Protector/Guard included.
To accelerate the process of whitening, they included a High Intensity LED Accelerator Light.
Although there is an instruction leaflet included in the package, here is how to use this system, instructions taken directly from their website.

So these are the steps that I did for a week/4 times of use. Along the way, I also developed my own routine as to how I do it.
My own tips:
- Brush your teeth before and after you use this. You wanted to make sure that your teeth is clean so the gel works better.
- Make sure that your teeth is dry, so wipe it with a cloth or a tissue paper. This makes the gel application easier.
- I dispense the gel in a separate applicator, or in m fingers, then I apply it. Since you will not finish up the whole pen in one use, might as well make sure it is sanitary.
- Every after use, I sanitize the LED light with alcohol, while I also brush the lip & cheek guard when I brush my teeth.
The first time I used this system, I didn't see any results. So I tried up to 5 times, 20 minutes with the light then another 10 with just the gel on. I will be honest, it is not the most comfortable process for me. I tend to salivate a lot, and the gel doesn't taste really good. So I only use it for maximum of 30 minutes, maybe that is the reason why I did not see much result.
Curious to see if it worked for me? Let's take a look:
As you can see, my teeth is still stained and a bit yellow, but the improvement was massive, at least for me. I am very happy of the result, and I will continue to use this system since the effects are not really permanent. Of course, I drink coffee everyday and I smoke, so my teeth are really bound to go stained again. I know it takes a lot of work, but the results are worth it.
And good news, they also sent me a set to giveaway to one lucky reader! If you wanted to win your own set and whiten your teeth at the convenience of your own home, just accomplish the giveaway form below!

ReplyDeleteI think this is the same product I saw from Genzel's blog. Now I'm really intrigued.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, those extra-white stuff on your teeth, I used to have those and my dentist told me that those are the more brittle areas of my enamel. She prescribed GC Touth Mousse to me and it helped a lot + it made my teeth "even-toned", less yellow, and less sensitive. Unfortunately you can only order this from a dentist and madalas pre-order pa. It's a little expensive at around 1.5k pero super worth it. It's like topical calcium.
I would like to see more "fab finds or "budget finds" posts... thanks for the giveaway
