Hello Pinay Beauties and Happy New Year! This is my first post for the year, and speaking of new things this is my first ever contact lens review. I am excited to share with you these colored contact lenses that I got from Vanilla Eyes Philippines.

We also have Dream Eye Contact Lens Solution with sizes that fit your needs (40 ml, 80 ml, 150 ml & 350 ml).

I have been following Vanilla Eyes for quite a while now, even before I started blogging. I love their selection of fashionable and chic contact lens. I recently contacted them and I was blessed to be able to try out some of their lenses. Since I wear glasses, I chose the lenses which are available for prescription/plano. They call them Power Lens.
Let's talk about packaging first. I have tried to order lenses from other sellers before, but I love that these lenses are packaged in a box with the lens name and contents.
Once you open the box, you will see the lens case included. I am impressed on how it is neatly packed inside.
It also comes with a pamphlet which includes important information, instructions and tips on how to use and take care of the lenses.
On the bottles itself, you will also see the contents as well as the expiry date. Please note that this expiry date will only apply if the lenses haven't been opened yet. Once opened, you have up to 1 year to use the lenses, given that you take care of them and clean them regularly.
And if you purchase graded lens, you can find the plano on the cap of the bottle.
NOTE: Make sure to consult your eye doctor to know the grade/plano of your eyes as well as if your eyes are suited for contact lens use.

Now I took some precautions before using the lenses. I read this on a website and it wouldn't hurt to follow them:

1. Check the lens in the bottle. See if the bottle crack or broken, if the lens have nicks or tears, if both lenses share the same color or if the bottle is expired.

2. Get your lens case ready. Ready means you have used multipurpose solution to disinfect the lens case at least twice before use. Let it air dry.

3. Open the vial bottle
- Open up the plastic cap (There is small indicator at the lens cover).
- Pull plastic cap off together with the steal seal.
- Push off the remaining steal seal.
- Remove the bottle cork.
- A scissor may help if you find the plastic cap or steal seal is too difficult to pull off.

4. Checking the lens before usage. You are best advised to put your lens into multipurpose solution for at least 8 hours before wearing them.

5. Hand Cleaning and Hygiene
- Always wash your hand with mild soap, if possible, scentless soap.
- Make sure your hand is dry and free from soap when contact with lenses.
- It is best to put on the lens before make up to avoid unnecessary oily stains or chemical products sticking on your hand.
- Keep your eye closed when using hairspray or other aerosols.

6. Cleaning and Storage of Lens
- Have you lens case ready. Throw away the previous solution in the case.
- Wash the lens case only with the multipurpose solution. Put several drops of multipurpose solution into the contact lens case.
- Put the contact lens on the palm of your lens. Put few drops of solution onto the lens and rub it softly for about 15 seconds. This would help to remove the germs.
- Place your lens into the lens case.
- Make sure lens are soaked in multipurpose solutions.
- Store your lens at room temperature.
- Please be reminded to ensure the cap is closed tight when not in use.
- Change your solution everyday to avoid germs growing.

Now let's move on to which lenses I got. I got a circle lens, a 2 tone and a 3 tone. Ready to see what they look like?

MACHIATTO CIRCLE LENS
DIA: 15 mm, BC: 8.7 mm, Water: 42%, CT: 0.07 mm
This is a big circle lens. I love that it actually blends with my eye color, and it makes it bigger. The lens are soft and it feels really comfortable. I have slight dry eyes, and with this lens I only need to put hydrating eye drops every 2 to 3 hours. Here's how it looks:
AMARETTO (2 TONE) LENS IN BLUE
DIA: 15 mm, BC: 8.7 mm, Water: 42%, CT: 0.07 mm
This is my favorite among the bunch! These are very very soft, which makes it a bit difficult to put on because it tends to fold, but they are super comfortable, like wearing nothing. I love the color too! It surely does not look natural but it really adds a pop of color to the eyes.
MAPLE (3 TONE) LENS IN GOLDEN GRAY
DIA: 15 mm, BC: 8.7 mm, Water: 42%, CT: 0.07 mm
The first pair of lens that I got when I was still in college were gray lenses, so I am sure that I wouldn't pass owning gray contacts again. What I like about this is that it has a golden brown ring on the inside, so it will blend with my eye color. These are soft and comfortable too, which I think what this brand is all about. I love the pale, vampire-ish look that it gives me:
What I like about this product:
- Very soft and comfortable.
- 42% water, they are not as drying as other lenses that I have tried before.
- Affordable (₱400/pair, ₱450/pair for graded lenses, ₱350/pair for clear corrective/toric lenses).
- Comes with free lens case and user's manual.
- Cute box packaging.
Vanilla Eyes Philippines offers promos all year round.

What I didn't like about this product:
- Not widely available, available through online and bazaars only.
Here's me, channeling my inner Miley Cyrus, wearing Amaretto in Blue.
Lipstick is Lime Crime Velvetine in Red Velvet.

Oh, and Vanilla Eyes Philippines also sent me their Dream Eye Mutil-Purpose Solution. It is designed specifically for use of soft contact lens wearers. They provide all-natural relief from irritation by simply inserting a drop and blinking your eyes. It's also used for cleaning, disinfecting & storage. Available in various sizes too.
Overall, I am super happy and impressed with these products. I understand why Vanilla Eyes Philippines takes pride on their products. If you wanted to check out their lenses, do not forget to check them out on Facebook.
