Review: NYX Nude on Nude Natural Look Kit

Hello Pinay Beauties! :)

First of all, thank you so much for 4,000 blog hits! I appreciate each and everyone of you who supports and reads my posts. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Today, I am going to review this product that I got from Online Beauty Hub, the NYX Nude on Nude Natural Look Kit.

Let's talk about packaging first.

It comes in this classic black box. In the back of the box, it shows the contents of the palette. The colors of the eyeshadows and lip colors as well as the applicators.

Here is what the palette looks like:

It has a mirror, 9 neutral eyeshadows (mix of matte and shimmer), 2 lip colors, a dual ended lip brush and dual ended sponge applicator. The lip colors are hidden in a drawer at the bottom of the palette.

This palette is quite small, it can easily fit your hand which means it is very good for travelling. Very compact, the black packaging is very classy and very sturdy.

Let's now see the shadows included in this palette.

The first row of shadows are matte, while the rest of it are shimmer/sparkle. The shadows are finely milled, very soft, smooth, creamy and really blendable. Shadows 1 & 4 are not quite pigmented, but the rest are really pigmented and color pay off is superb.

I have heard a lot of times that this palette is a dupe for the Urban Decay Naked Palette. I found this photo that shows a side by side swatch of the Naked Palette and the NYX Nude on Nude:

Half Baked

Not bad right? For a fraction of a price, it gives you the same shades as of the Naked Palette!

This palette also comes with 2 lip colors, or as I like to call it, 2 glosses.

The first shade is like a shimmery, rosy shade and the second one is a baby pink shade. Here are some swatches:

Right: With Flash
Here's what it looks like on the lips:

Rosy Shade

Baby Pink Shade
They are very sheer and glossy. I am not sure though if this shades are flattering, but this can be certainly used on top of a matte lipstick or to add a bit of shine on the lips.

This palette also comes with a dual ended lip brush and sponge applicator. Quality wise, they are not the best there is but they can definitely be useful for retouching.

What I like about this product:
  • Very compact, perfect for travelling.
  • Comes in 9 shades, perfect for everyday use
  • Shadows are smooth, creamy, blendable and pigmented
  • Comes with a mirror and applicator
  • Close dupe of the Naked Palette

What I didn't like about this product:
  • The lip colors - hope they are more pigmented or the formula is similar to the NYX Round Lipsticks, or a blush perhaps.

Overall, I really love this product! The shadows are just perfect to play around with, whether you wanted a natural look or a smokey eye look, this palette is perfect.

You can order yours at Online Beauty Hub's Multiply Page for only ₱800. This palette is always out of stock on other online shops, so grab one now while you can! I highly recommend this product as you really get what you pay for. I am sure that you will not regret this.

P.S. Online Beauty Hub also sent me this sample of the First Aid Beauty (FAB) 5-in-1 Eye Cream, and I have not tried this yet but will give you an update once I already have.

And that is it for my review of the newest addition to my collection. I will be posting another review tomorrow, as well as a tutorial on how I fill in my brows so watch out for it. Stay happy and goodluck!

-- Maica :)
