This is Milani's new line of lipsticks and I first heard of it from Emily of Beauty Broadcast. She created a series of reviews and swatches of the lipsticks per color category. When I saw these lipsticks, I immediately fell in love and wanted to try them. Luckily, Bon Marche sent me one of these gorgeous lipsticks and I got a chance to try it out.
Let's talk about packaging first. I super love the gold packaging! For a US drugstore brand, the packaging of these lipsticks feels high end, from quality to sturdiness.
The shade that I got is #09 Pink Frost, which I think best describes this lipstick. It is a metallic pink lipstick, but the color is gorgeous.

Here's what it looks like on the lips. Upon application, it feels a little gritty, and I assume it is because of the glitters/shimmers, but no tugging issues whatsoever. And the smell is to die for! It smells so fruity. As per pigmentation, this lipstick is quite pigmented, no need to put multiple layers for the true color to show.
For some, the color of this lipstick may look your lips washed out. If you wanted to tone down the frost of this lipstick, you can always top it off with a creamy colored lipgloss. What I did was to put it on top of my Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Lip Balm Stain in Sweetheart and here's the end result:

I think this lipstick shade is a good way to tone down a bright colored lipstick and add a little bit of sparkle or shine to it, especially if you are not a lipgloss fan (like me).
What I like about this product:
- Amazing shades and finishes to choose from (from reds to browns, cream to metallic)
- Packaging looks classy
- Color swatch at the bottom of the lipstick
- Glides easily on the lips
- Smells fruity (at least for Pink Frost)
- Pigmentation is amazing
- Last for hours of drinking and eating
- Does not bleed
- Moisturizing
What I didn't like about this product:
- Not locally available (no way to test out lipstick shade)
- Transfers
Overall, I love this lipstick and I cannot wait to try more shades! I have my eye on the shades Fruit Punch, Sangria, Nude Creme, Sweet Nectar, Red Label and Best Red. If you wanted to get your hands on these amazing lipsticks, go ahead and visit Bon Marche's Facebook page or their shop's website. They carry majority of the 27 shades and you can purchase them for only ₱230 each.
And that is it for my review. I got lots of local makeup products for review so please watch out for it and do not forget to follow this blog and my social media sites so you won't miss any news and updates. Thank you so much for reading guys and I will see you in my next post. Be happy, stay pretty and never ever forget to smile. Goodluck!
